It’s that time of year

I may or may not have just had pretzel slims, greek hummus, and white wine for dinner. Ahem.

The end of the year is rolling up upon us fast, and while I don’t have (much) holiday knitting to do (thank goodness), I sure have plenty of deadlines. Lots of designers have talked about how boring that makes the blog, so I won’t spend much time carping about it. But I think before the end of the year we’ll need to have a little contest around here to keep things lively.

Since a couple of you have been asking, and I don’t have a whole lot of knitting to show you, the boys are doing extremely well. We’re absolutely blessed with two wonderful, happy, creative, energetic children.

Vestcember is vanquished and the newest design is with the tech editor now. I doubt I’ll have time to deal with it before the new year, though, so a sneak peek will have to suffice for now:

And finally, this weekend I’m off to the South End Library in Boston to teach an impromptu session of my Fit to Flatter workshop. A lovely group of knitters in town asked me if I’d like to do a class, and everyone’s schedules were serendipitously free on Saturday from 11 – 2. There is room for one more, however! So if you’d like to join us, leave a comment or email me and let me know! (If this goes well, and there’s interest, I might consider more library-based workshops in the future.)

Hope your holidays are happy and stress-free!

  5. Yeah for boy pics!! Glad you’re still having fun teaching your classes. (Btw, that big boy is getting sooo grown-up looking)

  6. The pics of the boys are adorable, you KNOW I love the vest, and pretzels w/ hummus are one of my favorite dinners 🙂

  7. There is absolutely nothing wrong with hummus and pretzels for dinner! I love hummus, and when I have some in the fridge, dinner is frequently hummus and a “dipper.” Yum!

  8. Hey, I’d be interested in the workshop this Saturday in the South End. Is there still a spot?

    Thanks!

  9. Oh, the cuteness! And the freckles!!!
Happy Holidays to you and your family 🙂

  10. So sorry I will miss you in Boston – would loooove to take a class but going to the Nutcracker in Portsmouth that day…hopefully will see you some other time – have fun in beantown!

  11. Love the hat and no shirt combo – that’s important stuff to capture, because it’s fleeting. And I’m crazy about the green and yellow together – right on cheery.

  12. Thank you for the holiday cuteness. that green vest ought to get some great wear this time of year! Happy Holidays to you and your family.
