Rocky Crest Pullover
Rocky Crest Pullover
I designed Rocky Crest for my 2018 make. wear. love. fall sweater retreat collection. Each retreat, I make a mini-collection of sweaters in yarns from our vendors, loosely focused around a theme. This year, the theme was 'nurturing': I wanted to create winter-worthy sweaters that would envelop us in warmth and love.
Rocky Crest is worked in The Uncommon Thread's Everyday Sweater, from our vendor Yarn Culture. Everyday Sweater is a gorgeous, soft, and super hard-wearing blend of merino and nylon; I used the color "Confetti", a light gray with fun speckles. A lace pattern on the body of this roomy, tunic-length, drop-shoulder sweater breaks up the speckles, and solid sleeves keep the pattern from being too overwhelming. I've used an unusual ribbing to trim the edges and the soft, cuddly turtleneck.
