We all need a bit of sunshine in the winter – and this quick little hat fits the bill. Worked in a combination of lacy cables against a background of reverse stockinette, it's interesting (and pretty) knitting. The cables diminish to form the brim's shaping, and it can be blocked into either a beret shape or left slouchy.

S, M, L = 17, 18, 19'' brim circumference
Gauge
20 stitches and 26 rows = 4'' / 10 cm in Reverse St st and cable/lace pattern
