The Shoreside Tank is a breezy summertime sweater – a deep V tank with a narrow neckline and a flattering A-line shape. It works best in light, airy yarns with plenty of drape, and just might change your mind about summer sweaters!
This sample was worked in Habu Textiles Wrapped Merino 4p, a merino yarn wrapped in silk thread. It’s an exquisite, unusual yarn and makes an incredibly elegant, chic garment – I highly recommend it. Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about this yarn. The first time I wore the tank in public, I was complimented on it by no fewer than 3 complete strangers!

In these photos, I’m wearing an a-line tunic with a close fit in the shoulders, and plenty of positive ease in the hips (at least 8'' / 20.5 cm).

The pattern is written for a gauge of 26 sts & 38 rows = 4''/10cm in St st.

Construction:
This tank is worked in two pieces from the bottom and then seamed for stability. The neckline and armhole edges are picked up and trimmed.
