Can you even believe it? Our very first Year of Sweaters KAL, Cardipalooza, kicked off on March 15, 2014. So much amazingness has happened since then, and I’m so grateful to still be here with you.
I’m especially excited that it’s time to kick off our third Cardipalooza KAL:
Cardipalooza is a little more focused than our other Year of Sweaters KALs, and it’s still super-easy to join.
To participate, all you need to do is knit a cardigan – any of my designs, or one you make up in CustomFit – and share your progress in our Ravelry thread or by using the hashtag #cardipalooza on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
I loved seeing the beautiful variety and inspiration in everyone’s Deep Winter KAL projects, and I’m looking forward to more of it! Cardipalooza is typically one of our larger KALs, and I’m excited to see both straight-sided, but also A-line, cardigans this time since I’ll be releasing that functionality into CustomFit before the end of the KAL.
In fact, I’ll be releasing a cardigan pattern later this week to kick us off – and I’ve definitely got more sweaters up my sleeves as we go along:
At the end of the KAL, everyone will share their FOs as usual (check out the FO thread from the Deep Winter KAL for inspiration – there were some great cardis this time!), and we choose a winner to receive two free months of maker-plus CustomFit subscription and a personal consultation with me.
So, are you with me? Ready for some fabulous transitional spring sweaters?
Ready… set… knit!
