Please note that Arm Candy is available as a custom-gauge, custom-size pattern via my CustomFit custom pattern generator. Upon purchase, you’ll receive a credit for a custom version of Arm Candy and instructions on how to create it.
Arm Candy is a light-hearted pullover for special occasions. Shown here in a figure-conscious fit with elbow-sleeves, this pullover has a wide, deep V neckline trimmed in seed stitch with neck bands that are overlapped and sewn in. Separate sleeve cuffs worked in seed stitch add to the tailored feel and offer a sassy button opportunity.
Arm Candy is worked in pieces from the bottom up with set-in sleeves. You might find that your gauge in seed stitch differs from your stockinette gauge; if this is the case go down (or up) a needle size for the seed stitch trim. Arm Candy will work well at nearly any gauge, though the cuffs get bulky in a yarn heavier than aran weight.
Arm Candy is available as a custom-gauge, custom-size pattern for the yarn and measurements of your choice via CustomFit. It’s shown here on Amy in an “hourglass close fit” with an hourglass silhouette, but is available with a straight silhouette and other fits as well.
Your own customized version of the Arm Candy pattern will be written to your gauge, whatever it may be. I recommend knitting your yarn firmly for stability with this design, given its wide neckline. However, it will work well in any gauge from fingering to aran.
I used Sundara Aran Silky Merino, now discontinued, for this sample. Any aran-weight wool-silk blend will make a faithful substitute.
